Alsea River Ranch

The Alsea River Ranch is situated on 100 acres with over 1.5 miles of Alsea River Frontage. It is a fisherman's paradise, rich in wildlife and a fantastic family getaway. The Ranch is Centrally located only 22 miles East of Waldport and 41 miles West of Corvallis,  just about 3 miles off of the Alsea Highway.  One of the many amazing features of this property is that  it is located 2 miles below the Fall Creek Salmon hatchery. This makes it the ideal location for the Alsea's Fall Chinook and Coho Salmon runs, Sea Run Cutthroat, as well as the famous Winter Steelhead that come up from the Pacific Ocean to spawn. In addition to the outstanding fishing, we have miles of trails, a fantastic game room and a warm family home.

My family loves this property as it is a truly unique outdoor experience.  However, because of it's strong coastal weather influence and personal risk associated with this type of property, it's not for everyone.  A few really important things to know about the property:

1. We require a waiver to be signed to access the property.

2. Our driveway is a private-three mile gravel road with one other residence on it. This road parallels the Alsea River and in the Winter, it's not uncommon for a tree to fall across it.  We have all the tools and local help if that does happen.  We ask everyone to DRIVE SLOWLY. 

3. There is no cell service at the Ranch but we do have great internet connection and recommend making sure your phone can do wifi calling. We have a landline in the house for emergencies.  There is no cable TV but it does support Netflix and other streaming services. I routinely take video calls while my family streams shows. 

4. This is a "wild place". We have a lot of wild animals, bugs and at times a strong coastal weather influence.  We have an emergency first-aid kit on site but we strongly recommend you bring one of your own. Due to the type of brush in this environment and the bugs that come along with it, we recommend you bring insect repellent. If you decide to bring along a pet, we strongly recommend they have flea and tick protection.
