Alsea River Ranch has miles of trails and roads to walk. Most of the trails are old logging roads and wider than regular walking trails. However, as you can see on the elevation key parts of the property is very steep and if wet, can be a dangerous to walk.

Depending on water levels, clarity and time of year much of the river is accessible with waders. However, during winter steelhead fishing season the water levels can change quickly as will accessibility.  We've created five access areas (Buck Slot, Turkey Hole, Big Foot Beach, Elk Access and Boat Ramp Hole) that are marked on the map with corresponding property markers along the river.  All access points except for Big Foot Beach are considered expert trails. These trails are very short (usually 10-20 feet) and have some dirt steps, they're very steep and dangerous year around.
