House Arrival

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Alsea River Ranch.

Below you will find check-in instructions. We do our best to stay out of your way and give you a contactless check-in, but if you need any assistance, feel free to contact us.

• Gary cell: 503-752-0208

• Kristin cell: 503-756-0401

• Through the Air BnB app

Our address is 25596 Alsea Hwy. Because you will lose cell service during the drive we highly recommend you loading the directions prior to losing service and print off the map / step by step directions.

  • From Corvallis, take HW 34 for 38 miles. This will get you between mile marker 25 and 26. Take a left on Brenner Ridge Rd (there is no road sign) but you’ll see the Alsea River Ranch Sign.

  • You’ll cross the river and take an immediate right at the Alsea River Ranch Sign.

  • Take the gravel road 3.6 miles. You’ll pass only one other home.

  • Stay on the main road the goes along the river. There are two “newer” spur roads that go left. Do not take them. Stay straight along the river.

  • DRIVE SLOWLY. You’ll be traveling next to the river on a one lane road. The gravel can create unstable driving and flat tires if you drive too fast.

Do’s and Don’ts at the Ranch (see the Liability Waiver for expanded list)

Do’s

  • Have fun and explore.

  • Stay on the trails and follow the maps.

  • Wear life jackets when at the river or pond.

  • Park on the road.

Don’t

  • Smoke in the house or leave cigarette butts around the property. There’s a cigarette disposal under the covered area and on the front deck.

  • Harass the animals

  • Shoot firearms, fireworks or have fires outside the firepit by the river.

  • Clean fish in the house. Please do that at the river. We have a filet station in the covered area.

  • Don’t drive on the trails.

  • Don’t drive the salmon slayer (if rented) on trails or treat as all-terrain vehicle. It should only be used for slow transportation to and from the river.

Packing Suggestions

  • Large first aid kit

  • Plenty of food and water. It’s not a quick drive back into town.

  • Bug spray

  • Extra beach towels

  • Any “day” camping items that will allow you to stay at the river all day.

  • Walkie talkies. There’s no cell service and it’s the best way (and fun for the kids) to communicate.

Departure

Check out time: 11 am

  • Please put all of your used towels in the laundry room.

  • When departing after your stay, please turn thermostat to 66 degrees F.

  • Please turn off ALL OF THE LIGHTS.

  • Put all of your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it.

  • Refrigerator and Pantry: When you are ready to go, take the items that you purchased if you would like but if you don’t have room then don’t worry about it. Our cleaners will take care of everything.

  • Turn off BBQ Gas.

  • Garbage: The recycling cans are located in the pantry next to the kitchen. Please be sure to empty the kitchen and bathroom garbage before you leave.

  • Your Stuff: Please be sure to check each room before you leave to ensure you have everything that you brought. If you happen to leave and item, you can let us know (with a description of your items) and your address via our email listed above. This will incur a $25 charge for the postage if you would like the item returned to you. PLEASE do not walk away with our electronics, remotes, cords, blankets, décor or in general anything that belongs in this house. We like our things very much and you will be charged for their replacement. If you need a broom, dustpan or vacuum you will find these items in the closet in the game room.

  • As a last note, we hate to be the bad guys but failure to do all of these check out tasks or general care tasks will incur a fine. This fine will be taken from the refundable damage deposit. The fine reflects the extra hourly work that our cleaners and staff must do on top of the normal cleaning in between guests. To avoid these fees, please make sure that you read and follow the arrival and departure instructions.
